From the Sheraton Four Points - Exit the hotel and walk
2 blocks south on 12th Street to the corner of 12th and H Streets NW. The entrance
to the AAAS Building will be on your right at the corner of 12th and H Streets.
Please note that AAAS' address is 1200 New York Avenue, NW. There is also an
entrance to the building on the New York Avenue side.

From Union Station (Amtrak) - Taxis are available directly in
front of Union Station. The cost will be about $6.50 for the first passenger and $1.50
for each additional passenger. The trip will take about 10-15 minutes.

For a more economical trip, take Metro, Washington's subway system. The fare will
be $1.35 per person. Follow signs in Union Station to Metro on the lower level of
the station. Take the Red Line in the direction of Shady Grove. Get off the train
at the Metro Center station. Exit the Metro station using the 12th and G Street exit.
At the top of the escalator, turn 180 degrees and walk one block north on 12th Street.

From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) - Taxis are
available from National Airport to downtown DC where AAAS is located. Follow signs in
the airport for taxis and ground transportation. The cost is about $14, and the trip
will take about 15 minutes.

For a more economical trip, take Metro, Washington's subway system. The fare will
be about $1.65 per person. From the airport, follow signs to Metro, directly in front
of the airport. Take the Blue line toward Largo Town Center. Get off the train at
the Metro Center station. Exit the Metro station using the 12th and G Street exit.
At the top of the escalator, turn 180 degrees and walk one block north to the corner
of H and 12th Streets. The entrance to the AAAS Building is on the northwest corner

By car from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, follow signs for the George
Washington Memorial Parkway North. After about one mile on the parkway, take the
exit for I-395 North to Washington. Travel approximately one half mile, and take
the US Route 1 North exit on the left. Route 1 becomes 14th Street. Continue on
14th Street NW. Turn right onto H Street. Continue 2 blocks. The entrance to the
AAAS Building is at the corner of 12th and H Streets. AAAS does not have a public
parking garage, but there are several garages in the area. Parking rates vary,
but can cost up to $25/day. Limited metered street parking is available, but you
will need to move your car every 2 hours to avoid getting a ticket.

From Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport - Taxis are
available from BWI Airport to downtown DC where AAAS is located, but the cost is
considerable (about $75).

For a less expensive alternative, take SuperShuttle, a van transportation service.
After you claim your luggage, please proceed to one of the two ticket counters, both
located on the lower level baggage claim area. One is near baggage claim #1
(Southwest Airlines Terminal - Concourse A) and the other is near baggage claim #10
(Concourse C). They are open between the hours of 6:00 AM and 2:00 AM. The cost is
about $35 for the first passenger and $12 for each additional passenger. When
traveling from the airport to AAAS, reservations are recommended, but not required.
For your return trip to the airport, call SuperShuttle at (800) 258-3826 at least
24 hours in advance to schedule a pick-up. Additional information on SuperShuttle

You may also take the MARC train or Amtrak from BWI Airport to Union Station. Free
shuttle service is provided from the airport to the BWI Rail Station where you can
catch either a MARC train or an Amtrak train to Washington. A one-way ticket on MARC
costs about $6. Tickets may be purchased by cash or credit card at the station between
5:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. MARC trains run Monday through Friday only. For schedules and/or

Tickets for Amtrak may also be purchased at the station. A one-way fare from BWI is about $20.

By car from BWI Airport, take I-195 West to Exit 2B for the Baltimore Washington
Parkway (MD-295 South). Continue on the Baltimore Washington Parkway for 24 miles.
Take the exit for US-50 West. After about 2 miles, US-50 West will turn into New
York Avenue. Continue on New York Avenue for another 2 miles, following New York
Avenue around Mt. Vernon Square. AAAS is located at 1200 New York Avenue NW at the
corner of 12th Street and New York Avenue. AAAS does not have a public parking
garage, but there are several garages in the area. Parking rates vary, but can cost
up to $25/day. Limited metered street parking is available, but you will need to
move your car every 2 hours to avoid getting a ticket.

From Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) - Taxis are
available from Dulles Airport to downtown DC where AAAS is located. The fare will be
about $55.

From the baggage claim area at Dulles, proceed down the ramps located near either
of the escalators, towards Ground Transportation/Shared Ride Vans. SuperShuttle

the Dulles Toll Road) heading toward Washington. After about 15 miles, merge onto I-66 East.

Turn left onto 18th Street NW. Then turn right onto H Street NW. Continue six blocks on H

By Car - From points south, take I-95 North to I-395 North.

From points north, take I-95 South to I-495 (the Capital Beltway) in the direction
of Silver Spring. Take the Georgia Avenue exit south toward Silver Spring. Stay to
the right and continue onto 16th Street. Continue on 16th Street for approximately
12 miles until it ends on H Street in front of the White House. Turn left onto H
Street. Continue for 4 blocks. The entrance to the AAAS Building is at the corner
of 12th and H Streets. AAAS does not have a public parking garage, but there are
