The Commission on Professionals in Science and Technology (CPST) recognizes that users
may have concerns about privacy issues while navigating the Internet, in general, and
while visiting our site, in particular. CPST is committed to providing users with a
safe, secure environment in which to search for and secure information.
CPST will use reasonable efforts to ensure that any information you provide on the
website remains private, and is used only for the purposes stated below. Please review

Collected Information
We collect information about the users of our site. This information helps us determine
which parts of the site visitors find most valuable as well as how we can continually
improve the services we provide. Users identities remain anonymous unless the User
1.) logs-in to one of the site's members-only features, 2.) downloads a free publication
or 3.) purchases membership, publications or documents online.
We may also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our servers and to
administer our website.
We do not share or sell our user lists or member list to any outside third party source.
Users may use cpst.org without logging in but log-in must occur in order to use any of the
member services. Some of our site's registration forms require specific contact
information: name, e-mail address, etc. We use the customer contact information to
learn more about our visitors. The contact information is also used to contact users
when necessary.
Unique identifiers (such as IDs and passwords) are collected to verify the visitor's
identity and for use as account numbers in our record system.

We accept online payment by credit card for membership, document and publication purchases.
Online credit card transactions are performed in a secure environment with sensitive
information encrypted during the transmission process.
